2014-15 Executive Team
Bassem Khoury, President
Hello!
My name is Bassem and I am a 4th year student returning from PEY. As your President, I want to introduce you to the many opportunities that Industrial Engineering can offer. I’m really excited to work on all the different IIE UofT events to help you get connected and ready for the real world.
I worked in RBC Capital Markets as a Commodities Trading Production Support during PEY and I worked in the Wealth Management Department in Credit Suisse during my second year summer. I’ve always been interested in applying Indy methods to any job at hand, and because of this, I got involved with IIE so that I could help students understand what’s really out there for them.
If you ever are in the mood for a chat, don’t hesitate to email/facebook me! My email is [email protected]

Moe Hammad, Vice President
Hi Indys!
I'm Moe, your IIE Vice President for this year. I'm currently in 4th year - back from PEY and back to IIE! I was the Communications Director in 3rd year and I'm super excited to re-join the team this year as your Vice Chair. Some background about me: I was a Research Assistant in the topic of Radiation Therapy Optimization during the summer of second year and I worked as a Supply Chain Intern at Johnson & Johnson during my PEY term. I've been taking a mix of OR and IS courses during my time in IndE and I'm very interested in the Data Analytics field.
I believe participating in IIE is a great way to learn valuable new skills and to make yourself more appealing to employers - I've heard of IIE mentioned too often by Indys in the work force. Our events are always focused on YOUR needs as an Industrial Engineering student who's looking to make a smooth transition into the job market.
This year, your IIE team is bringing you brand new valuable events and bringing back the classic favourites as well (see: IIE Student Conference in Montreal!!). Make sure to check out our Events page to see what's up and coming and to look out for our e-mails.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me at my email: [email protected]. Looking forward to making the most out of this year!
Cheers!

Dora Ranilovic, Events Director
Hey everyone, my name is Dora and I'm in my second year of Industrial Engineering. As the new IIE Events Director, I'm excited to bring you fun events where you'll be able to learn more about the professional world of industrial engineers.
We hope that through the IIE events, you will connect with companies on the forefront of their respective industries. If you are studying industrial engineering and you want to know about the broad range of opportunities you will have once you graduate, an IIE event is the perfect place to start!
If you have any questions, or just want to chat about IIE, join me for a coffee on campus! I also love exploring Toronto, so if you know of any great places to eat, drink or shop - let me know!

Ritu Parikh, Finance Director
Hey all! My name is Ritu Parikh, I’m a third year Indy, and I will have sole discretion over all your IIE funds this year… *smirk*. I am the Director of Finance for this year’s IIE Executive team.
I realize that career seminars and conferences are hard to afford with our tuition and textbook fees. It is my goal this year to find maximum subsidies and ensure that IIE funds are allocated in a way that will allow us to take advantage of its many programs. I believe that job skills, industry knowledge, and experiences are equally important as that which we are taught in class. This club is a perfect outlet to the professional world of Industrial Engineers.
I’m really looking forward to this coming year and getting to know more of us! I love to swim, read, watch movies, and am a completely failed cook. Come find me on campus if you want to discuss finances, Huxley, or really anything else

Mim Haque, Social Media Director
Hi everyone! My name is Mim, a 3rd year industrial engineering student and your Social Media Director for IIE the 2014-15 year. I'm super excited to develop a platform to keep you all connected and up to date with what IIE has to offer this year!
Industrial engineering is a fabulous profession that has tons of opportunities in areas you may have never imagined. Whether you have a strong drive for efficiency or have a keen eye for design details, industrial engineering can always cater to your skill set and interests. IIE is here to help you gain exposure to the professional side of industrial engineering and learn more about what it has to offer!
A little bit about me: If I could choose only one word to describe myself, it would be "foodie". I also love meeting new people, so if you ever wish to chat about IIE, industrial engineering, or just life in general, send me a Facebook message or just come up and say hi.
Let's make this year the best one yet!
